3D Printing a Snoopy Omega Speedmaster Clock

This is a 3D-printed clock based on the blue-and-white Snoopy Speedmaster design. The print turns the recognizable chronograph layout into a much larger wall or desk clock, complete with the blue tachymeter bezel, three subdials, and Snoopy at nine o’clock.

The Model

The model is based on the Omega Speedmaster Clock / Clock Kit 011 by Chris_Fox on MakerWorld.

It is designed around a standard clock movement, with printed parts forming the case, bezel, dial, hands, and subdial details. The printed layers and separate color regions make it possible to recreate the general look without needing a multi-material paint job afterward.

It should be obvious that this is not intended to be a functional chronograph.

My Modifications

First, I took what was there, and changed the colours to match the Snoopy version. The hard part is the Snoopy design on the nine o’clock subdial.

Here I had no choice but somehow get a Snoopy design as that isn’t part of the original model. After not being able to find the exact image online, I decided to draw my own. The software of choice here was Inkscape, but because the features in that image are so small, I had to print this piece separately using a 0.2 mm nozzle, while the rest of the model is printed using a 0.4 mm nozzle.

Assembly

Once the parts were printed, assembly mainly involved fitting the clock movement (the standard AA battery ones), attaching the hands, and stacking the printed face components in the right order.
